On Tuesday, for the second leg of the Italian Cup semifinals, Juventus visited Lazio and lost 2-1, but advanced thanks to the aggregate score of 3-2. Valentín Castellanos scored the goals for the home team, while Milik scored the consolation goal.

Lazio returns to the field this Saturday o face Hellas Verona for the 34th round of the Italian Championship, at the Olympic Stadium. Liverpool remain alive in the Premier League title race after a crucial win over mid-table Fulham on Sunday. The Reds knew they had to emerge victorious at Craven Cottage if they were to follow Arsenal’s lead from Molineux last night and keep their championship dreams alive and continue to challenge FA Cup finalists Manchester City.

While it was not a vintage display from Liverpool for the most part, they secured the three points they so desperately needed to move into second place and behind the Gunners only by virtue of their inferior goal difference.
