Displaying high-quality football and creating numerous opportunities, Spain completely dominated the match against Italy and won 1-0 on Thursday (20), at Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen. In the first half, the Spanish team was vastly superior, creating several chances but faltering in their finishes, and seeing Donnarumma make two excellent saves.
Early in the second half, Spain took the lead with an own goal by Calafiori. Even after gaining the advantage, the Spanish side continued to press and nearly extended their lead with a shot from Nico Williams, which hit the post.
