Atalanta's winning goals won the Europa League title and overturned Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten record.



Atalanta are the champions of the Europa League. The Italian team defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 on Wednesday (22), at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

Ademola Lookman was the hero of the final with a hat-trick, securing Atalanta's first-ever title. The Nigerian striker scored at the 12th and 26th minutes of the first half, and again at the 30th minute of the second half.

The Italians ended Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten run. The team, led by Xabi Alonso, reached the European final with 51 games without a loss this season, comprising 42 wins and nine draws. Twenty-six different clubs tried their luck before, but only the team from Bergamo managed to overcome the Germans.
