Uruguay defeated Panama 3-1 on Sunday night in Miami. Displaying considerable dominance in the first half, Uruguay took the lead with a stunning goal by Maxi Araújo. In the second half, Marcelo Bielsa's team struggled against Panamanian attacks, but late goals from Darwin Núñez and Viña secured a comfortable scoreline. Panama managed to score in the last moments of the match with a beautiful goal by Murillo. With this victory, Uruguay took the lead in Group C of the competition due to the number of goals scored.
