The victory was highlighted by a strong Brazilian presence. In the first half, Estêvão opened the scoring with an outstanding goal, capitalizing on a defensive mistake, carrying the ball from before the halfway line and finishing with a precise low shot across goal.
Early in the second half, the former Palmeiras player provided an assist to João Pedro, who beat his marker with skill before calmly slotting the ball home to double Chelsea’s lead. Shortly after, João Pedro attempted another effort, and the ball struck Canvot’s arm inside the penalty area.
Following a lengthy VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty, which Enzo Fernández converted to make it 3–0. Late in the match, Richards scored from close range after a scramble in the box, setting the final score at 3–1.
